Wouldn't these fall under the same category as the Rossi or Chiappa Mare's Leg/Ranch Hand which have been deemed non-restricted?

the chiappa and the rossi are 24 inches , and nonrestricted , so why would a similar style of rifle at 25 inches be restricted .........

on the other hand , the action does apear to be different than the 1892 used in the rossi / chiappa versions .

I'd buy a .22 Mare's Leg in a second, I'd probably end up putting a full length stock on it though.

I'd think about the .22, but I've already got a Marlin 39 TDS, which is pretty sweet.

Again we have such confusing laws.
I thought any firearm under 26 inches was restricted.

Wow. I was thinking of a Mare's Leg in .22 just last night. I'd buy one in a heart beat. Probably put a full stock on it, too.
