Hens & poults

Saw these two turkey hens with 12 poults in my Uncle's hay field in Lanark Highlands yesterday. Nice to see that some of this years young have survived this far. The poults were about the size of chickens. They sure grow up fast. Hope some of them stick around for next Spring's hunting season.

That good to see, most of the poults will probably die by next spring but atleast a few will make it, just hope that they have beards

i live in south central winnipeg, just south of a railyard with a large tract of wooded land adjacent. everyday for the past week and a half i have been seeing a large hen and 4 poults on my way to and from work. and to think i drove an hour out of the city rthis spring to hunt them when they where 4 blocks away....
