Hensoldt Wetzlar 1.5-6 Scope

I have a pre64 Winchester 70 and it came with this scope. It's German made, but old and has a very fine reticle.

Anyone know anything about this scope? Any good? I've had it about 15 years but never used it, too fine of a reticle for me.

Zeiss is the name of the scope previously known as Hensoldt. The new Hensoldts are a completely different breed; they are now owned by Airbus.

If it is a 1.5-6x36, it is EXACTLY the same scopes as a Zeiss Diavari 1.5-6x36, which pre-dated the 1.5-6x42 Diavari. That's too bad that it has a thin crosshair, as that scope begs for a #21 or a #4

I have the same scope (different reticle though) on my first Gen German Wby Mk V. In claw mounts. They are good scopes. - dan

Finally got to the range yesterday, with the 223 and scope. Had good luck with it. On paper at 25 yards two more shots got on the bull. At 100 just a few more. Thanks again for your help, turrets are good now.
