I am looking for thoughts, pic's and impressions of the Hera Glock stock. I've heard they mar the Glock slide? $500 seems a lot for a plastic clam shell and some pic rails.

Thanks

I have a 1911 HERA CPE.

Very happy with it. Purchased it from Blaxsun on the forum.

I also had the RONI Glock carbine kit. It was ok but felt a bit like a toy.
The HERA is higher build quality and has a subgun feel to it. Moreso than the RONI.

The Glock HERA kit IIRC requires removal of the rear sight. Not a fan of that.
And the LOP will either work for you or not.

The retention design of the HERA holds the pistol in my means of the rail and a pin thru the receiver/frame.
The RONI on the other hand, retention is on the rail and the "beavertail"/ rear of the receiver which IMHO is better and more secure.
And with the RONI, no custom fitting or changing of parts if you use stock Glock sights.

However the locking pins on the RONI are cheap and I'd be pinching my fingers or getting the pins jammed up every once in a while.

The HERA CPE has some contact points on the frame of my 1911 that cause some cosmetic buffing.

Both of these kits make a total mass of you gun after a few boxes of ammo and the carbon buildup on the slide is a PITA.

While I can't say I recommend the either of the Glock conversion kits, The 1911 CPE from HERA is a whole other toy,
It turns my 1911 into a tack driver at 20 yards (one ragged hole 8 shots) if I really pay attention.
