Me and my father came across a Herbert Schmidt Ostheim 22lr with a .22 magnum cylinder with it. Can't find a value anywhere for it so I'm hoping some of the cgn'rs might be able to give some help. The only visible wear is some rust on the hammer and a little bit of wearing on the metals. It fires great. The reason we are looking for a price is it was purchased in a 3 gun package deal by a family member. Any help would be much appreciated.

Edit, just to clarify just in case, we are going to buy this from the family member but since it was included with 2 others we are looking for the fair price to pay.

there was a reason they were so cheap, I put the .22 magnum cylinder in mine and it broke the frame in half.I could have understood if the timing was off but didn't seem to be the case.

This isn't the Equipment Exchange. I had one with 8" barrel and sold it.

170.00 is a fair price I bought one for 150.00 many years ago it was actually dangerous to shoot with the magnum cylinder I got more lead in my face than went down range I never shot the gun again

I had one of those back in the late 70's, not bad accuracy wise but spit a lot of lead. I wouldn't pay much over 75-100 bucks on a used one. Parts could be a real issue.

ive got 2 of them, have had them for over 20 years.
paid $75 for one back in the early 90's and the other was gifted to me by my dad when we upgraded to a Ruger Single Six, and they are in great shape.
i wouldn't pay more then that for one.
$75 in great shape and go down in price from there.
keep in mind these guns where mostly made back in the early 70's and there are no replacement parts for them.
while they are tight guns they are nothing compared to a Ruger single 6.
and wear glasses, they spit lead even when shooting the normal 22 cylinder!

does it look like this one or is it the black with white grips?

they are fun little plinkers.
for what im into them for im happy with them.
but there is no way id pay more then $100 for one, even NIB.

if you ever have a chance to compare one to a Ruger Single Six side by side you'll know what i mean.
