I paid full attention throughout the two days.
It was full of info from people who have valuable field experience
I dont doubt you did at all, but information is taken differently with a closed mind vs an open mind. Like I said, Im not hacking on you, but I think that you might have had a better experience if you had kept a more open mind.
I guess Im a glass half full kind of person

You mean you learned all you need to know about calls during the seminar...you never learned anything after the seminar ?
....I doubt that very much.....
Thats not what I was saying at all. Lets just say, I used my seminar to get a good start on what I needed, and how I needed to use it.
but my first season, I was medically unable to hunt. Second season, I was dragging birds by everyone.
Im not saying Im great, but I made my 23 bucks count, and didnt look at it as a waste of 6 hrs. Where did you do your course that it took two days anyway... thats weird IMHO

Impossible to learn it all in class....you think you can master any single call in a room with 80 people in it doing the same thing ?
Yes, I think had you bought one ,and spent a few minutes with it, you would have had a good start with it.
you dont become a doctor after one year of medschool.
But if you neglect to pay attention for a year of medschool, or at a daycourse for that matter, your behind however you look at it.

Never doubted the credentials of the instructors
I dont think that you did at all, but i do think that you still missed what was important IMHO about the course.

Quaker may make good gear, and the reps knew their stuff but a sales pitch is not what I signed up for..at times it seemed as though they were filming an infomercial for Quaker Boy, instead of teaching us the basic techniques needed.
IM sorry you feel that way, but Any course I've been to, and any instructor I've talked to, gave the same info. "this is the call, this is how you use it, and its available for "X" at the back counter". Now whats wrong with that?
Everything you need in once place at a discounted price. Usually guys go nutts for that, not pooh pooh on it.
Did they go through the different types of calls etc?

I would have preferred to listen to the instructor explain and demostrate the sounds, pitches, etc and explain what each unique sound does and the reason for making it.....without the sales pitch for Quaker
THats what they did at my course, and anyone I've spoken to about the course. They go through the different types of calls and what they're good for. Different types of slate calls, Diaphrams boxcalls etc.
but from what i understand, Quaker boy has vested interest in the course as well as the OFAH.
Fog, PM at you.
