So as I await stuff from PH and Corwin in long arm form, I've decided that another restricted should join my poor beat up but indestructo Ruger P85 and Single Six.
It is down to a horse race between 2 polar opposite pieces of hardware :

1) - Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag Hunter SS
2) - Glock G41 Long Slide Gen 4 .45ACP

Strangely attracted to the Long Slide, even tho I've wanted the SA .44 since I was a kid...... Ahh, another beer and ponder with some feedback? ;)

Personally, don't care for 'long slide' semi's.

NAA.

I keep thinking I want a SA revolver and then I start picturing myself poking one round at a time through the loading gate and then extracting the casings one at a time and the desire fades.;)

another brother of the Ruger P family!
many nights i take my Ruger P-89 out and clean it and reminisce over all the fun ive had with that gun.
love that gun.

now, scary thing, years ago i was in the exact same boat as you.
i had a ruger P-89 and a knock off 22 cal 6 shooter (couldnt afford the single six) and wanted to grow my collection.

i went with the Glock 17 (in the C variant) and i couldnt have been happier.
it was exactly the change i wanted.
i wanted to leave my old heavy P-89 and get into the plastic gun scene.
i have since moved on again to the Smith and Wesson M&P's but you'll get there eventually.
nice little M&P Pro long slide in 40 cal maybe, hmmmm

Damn, not that many of us either .... ;) I know they are wide and on the heavy side, but my 85 has never glitched ever!! Bought it from Guncraft in Kelowna back in the day and it's ran like a champ from day one....
Still waffling back and forth, depending on mood and if I buy both - She may just hurt me!!

I vote for the Ruger.

I never was a fan of .45 glocks (or long slide glocks if that matters), imo there are better options in that caliber (P220/227, HK45 or 1911).

Choose wisely :)
