Here's where all the surplus SKSs are going!

These not likely all military PWs. There were two in stripped down police uniforms. The guy in the sniper suit was CO of an infantry brigade stationed locally. Most of these guys are likely government officials, police and soldiers who are not of the correct ethnicity and not invited. They are the lucky ones. The mayor and councillors of Donesk were shot on day one.

Maybe it's just me , but I've always found parading of prisoners , of any armed forces , to be particularly distasteful . I hope that they don't face worse treatment in the immediate future , but I fear they will .

I am guessing the new uniforms came out of a white truck.

Looked it up. The Pro-Russian forces pictured are wearing American "style" digital UCP. The design look similar to an American uniform... But used buttons?

Defiantly not Russian nor Ukrainian.

Hands bound like common criminals. This is not PW treatment. Speaks volumes about their captors.

Oh good. See this:

Convention (III) relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Geneva, 12 August 1949

ARTICLE 13

Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. Any unlawful act or omission by the Detaining Power causing death or seriously endangering the health of a prisoner of war in its custody is prohibited, and will be regarded as a serious breach of the present Convention. In particular, no prisoner of war may be subjected to physical mutilation or to medical or scientific experiments of any kind which are not justified by the medical, dental or hospital treatment of the prisoner concerned and carried out in his interest.
Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.
Measures of reprisal against prisoners of war are prohibited.

Yep, shows their measure.

At least they did not strip them down to their underwear like ISIS did to the Syrian Soldiers before they executed them . They may still have and use SKS rifles , but I know of four that they will not be getting as they are locked in my gun safe as we speak.....

If the wars over the last 20 years in any of the Baltic states have taught us anything, it's that the Geneva Convention is usually the first thing to get tossed aside in a civil war. Eastern Europe has a way of getting very messy, very quickly
