Just got the spring Cabela's catalogue, for the first time they have made in Russia Herter's ammo in 7.62X39 122 grain FMJ hollow point and 154 grain soft points, non-corrosive. Prices aren't bad, 289 US per 1k for the hollow points. Our dollar is almost on par... is there a reason why Canada Ammo or others can't bring this in? I never understood why Wolf ammo wasn't available here. btw, Herters has .223 and and handgun ammo available at Cabela's too.

Checked the U.S. Cabela's site; now on sale for $250 per 1k. Phoned the corporate office of Cabela's Canada, spoke with a "customer relations" rep. and was told that they cannot (i.e., will not try to) import it into Canada. This is too bad.
Any chance of one of our CGN sponsor companies importing this directly from Europe?
