Hey check out my new Colt! Tell me what you think

Hey guys. Finally talked a guy I know into selling me his Colt Python 6". It took me about 8 months. So long in fact I've kinda moved away from pistols and more to rifles. Lol. But hey it's a Colt Python!!!! The action is so smooth it's unbelievable!! This is my first colt of any kind and I'm really liking it. My buddy just got a s&w 686 4.2". We're going to take them both to the range and do a little comparison. I really like the 686. Very nice piece. If we were allowed CCW I would be carrying a 686 4.2" for sure. Anyway back to the Colt!!! It was purchased in 1981 and original owner has had it ever since. Shortly after he bought it he added the scope. It looks pretty badass. I never really liked scopes on handguns so I'm not sure what to do. I think I'll take it to the range with the scope on it. Try it out then maybe remove it. I have the front sight to put back on. Which way do you guys think it would look best with or without scope?

My personal preference is without the scope. Nice handgun.

Wow. Thats pretty. I'm in the same place as you about the scope though . .
In my mind I think it might look better without but if you take it to the range and you can tack drive with it I'd probably leave it on. Either way its a sweet piece in any collection.
I just got my 686 4.2" today - not as pretty but a nice piece all the same.
Can't wait to get to the range.

I miss my old Colt, yes I agree with the others dump the scope. Or just keep the scope but take pictures of the Colt without it.

Wish we could hunt with handguns, then there would be more use for the scope other than lazer like precision on paper .

I don't know what all of this scope talk is but I'd remove that Maglite, it's pointing in the wrong direction anyways.
