Doug, your buddy Phil got his first bear! Nice young meat animal, and with the rifle you gave him. :cool:

We forgot to take pictures, if you can believe it, but the hide is in the tannery already.

Thanks Ted. I reckon Phil is pretty pleased. From the sounds of it, the bear dropped right beside the truck - no dragging. :dancingbanana:

Yah, I know, and we had a camera ............ but got busy with tagging it, rolling the guts out, and loading it in the truck. Were on the way home when I said, "We forgot to take some pictures!"

Obviously it was not a monster bear. Will certainly taste good though. He was eating crocuses and new grass. :)
