Was up to your place today, drove in. Sugar snow about four to eight inches in places, driveway is starting to flood and ice up.
That big buck showed me his ass about 50 feet from dumdawgs stand. Not a lot of fresh deer tracks.
The bear bait hasn't been hit yet, so I freshenned it up with a big pile of guts. the front barrel is near full.
Damned near got stuck turning around, as I was driving on the crust, and when I went in reverse, I broke through. The deer are walking on the crust too.
TONS of coyote tracks. I went for a short walk. I think we will have to try and shoot their numbers down a tad.
The cabin is fine. Your new neighbour is in and out to his place quite regular, and that seems to be detering the crapheads.
On the way up, just south of Bobcaygeon, I saw a bald eagle! I have not seen one since I was out along Superior a few years back. He must be migrating somewhere. Was quite a sight.

I had this big bag of semi frozen deer guts from a road kill over the winter in my garage. Noticed a pool of blood coming from the bag the other day.
Gee, should I keep that 'till fall?
Maybe I'll take it up and put it in the bear bait barrel. Keep them in the area. Yeah, it's way early, but, set up a pattern, and maybe we get lucky. Yotes will be a plus.
My guess though is that the damn coons get it, as the lid for the bucket was frozen to the bottom of the drum.

Another dump today.

That makes about 18 inches in the last two weeks.

No fear of losing our snow til well after easter

But you guys give'er and post some pics:cool:
