Great to find a community like this.

I grew up around guns and always enjoyed shooting, but after leaving home I just drifted away from the sport. My last firearm was a 30-30 Winchester, but it went with my dad when I moved out and I've never seen it since. However, as we were pretty broke around the time dad gave it to me, I didnt get to shoot it a lot. I was, however, in love with his friends Ruger 10/22 and I've wanted one since I was about 11 years old.

Fast forward 20 years or so (almost 41. Gads!) and I've decided that it's time to get that 10/22 of my own. So... after Christmas I am going to join the local gun club, so I have a heated 20m range to plink on, get a PAL or RPAL, and start the hobby up again!

I'm in Nova Scotia and kind of jealous of your heated range. Many years ago I lived in the John Day country in Oregon. Physically very much like Kamloops. Liked it a lot.
 
Greetings from sunny Ashcroft! I'm a bit too far away to be a member, but I've shot at the KTSA ranges a few times now. If I lived there, I'd definately be a member. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to Gun Nutz. I think it's great that you're getting back into the shooting sports. This is a terrific site and I know that you'll enjoy your time surfing the various sub forums. You can't go wrong with a Ruger .10/22. It's a great little rifle and it will serve you well.

Grew up in Kamloops... well just outside it...

Parents work at the mine out there... Good to see more people from the area...
