Great choice of cartridge and action type, I have one myself but mine has the (yuk) crossbolt safety.

At least you didn't decide to start him on a jack handle (bolt action).:rolleyes:

My first centerfire was a 94 in 32sp... and Junior got a .243BLR for his tenth... just keeping the tradition alive.;)

I have a wicked accurate .22lr bolt for him already it is an "as new" Lakefield with a tiger maple stock and his Mothers Nylon 66 will be his as well. Got an H&R 410 with a laminate stock and a Wincester 1300 20 gauge Youth Gun with synthetic full size stocks as well put away.The semi shotgun and slug guns can wait until he is old enough and I'll get him state of the art when it is time... Likely an SBE XII:p
I will buy him a bolt action centerfire when I find the right one... I am thinking a Sako Finnlight.;)

NO not yet... I am gonna get a video of me firing it with him in the video ... just gotta talk his Mom into letting him put on the hearing protection.;)
