It didn't come off a Winchester model 58 obviously. The "58" is the model number of the sight. Back in the day, Winchester made many sight models and they all had their own model numbers. They're collectible. One of these sights sold for $1300 in the states a few years back.The Winchester 58 was a cheapo bolt action .22
It wouldn't have any sight like that.
IMHO, it came from a sporter Long Lee that was made up in the first quarter of the last century.
I think it's value would be in the $100 range, but I see people asking stupid prices for sights these days.
