New to the boards, new to shooting, had a few bad experiences with pistols ~ so I am a little scared. Working hard to obtain my PAL and RPAL. Any tips would be great.

Went shooting a Glock with a close friend, loved that, thinking that might be the first purchase!

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome.... with a name like that I think a picture request isn't out of line. ;)

Glad to see someone with the courage to attempt to overcome their fears. With regard to the PAL, what city do you live in? There is generally lots of places to do the course.
cheers

But don't start off with a picture that's too provocative or some of the guys here will damage their keyboards with drool. :D

Welcome to CGN! You will find a great group of people here. If you read up on the post you will find a ton of info. Before you buy, try a few different pistols- P226 ect as You may find one that fits perfect. Glocks are great and I hope to p/u a G17 when my AR build is done. Stories about the good and bad are always entertaining. You should post a story or two. Cheers

It is far more difficult to do something that scares you rather than something that does not. More power to you.

Welcome to CGN and enjoy your stay with us.

Regards
Robert

I'm exceptionally proud of my wife's accomplishments, taking the step to overcome her fears and join me on the range. She's making great strides, and quickly. Interesting how women seem to do better out of the blocks than most men.

And it's not just a name folks :)

start shooting with .22 Cal. and get comfortable with that before you move up to the bigger stuff. Don't force yourself to shoot anything that punishes you with recoil. Shooting sports are supposed to be fun, so don't feel you have to shoot big magnum cartridges to prove how tough you are.

LOL - Thanks Babe!! :bigHug:

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone - looking forward to having everyone's help and advice on whatever questions I may have.

Looking forward to meeting members out on the range!

You will have to come down to the next EESA Open House. or CGN Shoot

From the above exchange I take it you are a GTA local so it is not a HUGE drive.

Welcome aboard.
