I was looking at a Heym Ruger that may be for sale and not sure of the value.
It is a 375 H&H with a octagon barrel and the european butt stock with the stepped check rest. The receiver is engraved on each side, one is a boar the other side is a stag and the engraving is coined finshed. It also has a Zeiss scope 1.5 to 6 power on claw mounts.
The gun is like new with a few handling marks on the stock.
Anybody have a idea on the value
Thanks

Is this a Ruger action redone by Heym? I was under the impression that Heym made their own actions and used them for any custom work.
It would be interesting to see pics of this rifle, to ascertain what it is and to salivate over my keyboard...

I've seen one just like you described. I cannot for the life of me remember how much it was. I think it was just over $2000, but don't quote me on it. That was a bare rifle, no scope or mounts. If you want a better idea, call Italian Sporting Goods in Vancouver. They have that kind of stuff in there regularly.

By the way, you can get a Heym octangon barrel threaded for a No.1 from Barry Jenson at Bits of Pieces. They are short chambered in .300 Win Mag, .338 Win Mag or .375 H&H and cost $597.45.
