Hi all from Edmonton...when I turned 50 I said to myself..."do all the things you always wanted to do while you still can"...one of which was to gain shotgun proficiency! So I took the course and got my PAL...and now I'm on the road to buying a shotgun following the basic rule of "fit and feel" first! I think I read every post on this whole site while waiting for my PAL and you guys/gals have taught me tons! Seriously! Some of my friends that hunt and do sporting clays say I sound like a fund of shotgun knowledge and I've never even shot one! LOL...better to read and be educated before starting out right?
Thanks for everything and I will continue to be a solid supporter of the site! Can't wait until I get approved for the EE section so I might make a purchase!

Good on ya Mitch, that's the way to approach life. You only get one go around, right. Once you're done with the shotguns get your restricted license too, then things get even more interesting.

I set a goal similar to yours for when I turn 50 too.
I am sending myself on an African safari for my 50th birthday. Just starting to save for it now. only 14 years to go..
