Hi to everone. I heard about this site from a friend who moved to Peterborough and joined the local gun club up there.

I signed up because I have a question about the ad at the top of the page about the tavor. How can it be civilian legal with the bull pup stock?

"...How can it be civilian legal..." Hi. The importers got a ruling from the RCMP. Has to do with not being able to fire it without the stock. Or some such nonsense. There's a fair bit of discussion about it on here some place. A search for 'Tavor' will/should turn up more info. $3450 with taxes is a lot of money for a 'big kid's' toy.
Don't try to figure out the why's and wherefore's of the laws. It'll give you a headache.
 
Thanks. I should have stopped when you said the RCMP said it was OK. I've been searching and found that some of the explainations are more confusing then the regulations. I'm gonna go take some advil to make my brain stop hurting now.
 
You should see some of the U.S. laws. They get to comply with Federal, State and sometimes municipal laws. A guy can be perfectly legal in one State and be liable for prison time in another. Plus their ATF gets to make law by regulation.
