Hi! Another one from Aylmer

I'm new to this forum, but not to Fire Arms.

Just over 29 yrs in the CDN Military. Starting to miss the ranges, so I thought I should look into getting a Rifle for Military Match shooting. Looking at first getting the required PAL and R-PAL. Trying to locate the required training in this region.

Next on the list, locating an M-14, since I can't get myself a FN C1.

So far just love the forum, lots of info on the M-14.....

:welcome: mt84, you'll enjoy the site, lots of information, good people, and even some humor. One of the first things you should consider as you get into the shooting sports is to support an organization that is fighting for our rights as a gun owner. Canadian Shooting sports (icon at top of Page) is a Nationwide pro gun organization representing all gun owners and supporting the shooting sports. Take some time to read up on us and sign up on line, it's a great investment in your sport.

Ok, so I've taken care of part one, I've registered for the CFSC Non-Registered and the Registered sessions. Course date for now are the March 08/09 for Non, March 15 for Registered. :dancingbanana:

Well appart from the heavy snowfall in Ottawa, I successfully completed the CFSC this week-end. Found the course informative, but I should've challenge the exam, what's done is done. Nice group at this one.

Next Saturday the CRFSC at the same place....

Getting closer still, this Saturday is the CRFSC part of my list of thing to do. Once completed, I'll need to locate an M14, prob a stock Norco M14S / M305.

Hopping this come to a happy final outcome Saturday....

The CFSC and CRFSC are done, passed with flying colors...:dancingbanana:

This morning decided to go to Cannaught Ranges to see the folk at NCRRA about their club, got to meet a great bunch of people. Thanks Allan for the informal intro and allowing me to fire one of his target rifles. Also had a chance to reaquaint myself with another person on the same CFSC course as me. Maxime decide to join the NCRRA also. Max is now shooting a Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical, nice shooting Max. Then there is Bill Fun guy to talk, knows his stuff.....

Well I think I found A place to join and learn....
