My old man is a member on the forum here, and since i'm interested in getting into Plinking/targets with a .22 he reccomended I come look around in here.
The guns i'm interested in are the usuals (from what i've read so far):
Savage .22 LR - Mark II XP (Bolt Action, Camo Pkg with the scope)
Ruger 10/22
The thing I like most about the savage is that it already has everything I am looking for - a scope and an interesting stock.
The thing I dislike about the Ruger is that i'm inevitably going to end up spending $ on the dang thing to get it to the point that I want it at (Scope & Less boring stock!).
If you have opinions, feel free to voice them... but know that my heart is pretty much set on one of these two models! Ha!
Glad to be part of the community - now i'm off to the Equipment Exchange section!
PS: If any of you other Calgarians know any good spots to go and do some gopher hunting or target shooting. Let me know where some good spots are! It'll save me gas $ looking on my own!!
