Hi all. I'm new to CGN, new to shooting, and now a new gun owner. I got hooked on shooting about 10 years ago while visiting a friend in Vegas. (thanks Mike) After a few trips south, I decided to get my head out of my ass and get my R/PAL. I went to my local rental/range and signed up for the course. I had a great instructor, (thanks P B) his enthusiasm made it easy to not only pass, but to learn. I waited 35 days from mail in, to licence in hand . Now licence in hand, straight to range (of which I'm now a member), for my ATT. All this paperwork and nothing to bring home, time to shop! I like to think I did my homework on this one. Being a bluecollar worker, I went shopping for a Glock 17. I went to my local gunshop and made my purchase. I got the Glock 17 RTF. (thanks to Craig & Craig from Wanstalls) I received my gun on Tues, had an unexpected day off Fri. and went shooting. Longest 3 day wait ever. I went to Thompson Mountain Range. Great place to shoot, met some very nice people who insist I try their gear.(thanks guys, now I gotta get a 1911) All in all, I've had a great couple of months getting started. This is a community I wish to belong to for a very long time. Thanks to all CGN'ers, this is a great source for information. Finally, thanks to my wife.(thanks babe) When this all started in Jan. , she was an anti, "no guns in this house" . I thought the best way around this was to educate her. "come to the range with me, and show me what part of the gun you don't like". hahahaa , thats all it took, she a pretty good shot too.

thanks to all involved...
