Hello everybody,
I was brought up around guns, my father was an avid enthusiast and gun smithed as a hobby - lucky for me this meant that I was brought up learning about gun safety as priority #1 and the various do's and don't that newbies usually learn the hard way
My father passed away in 1992 before many of the new changes were implemented. My brothers and i have since inherited his beloved rifels and firearms and all of us are current PAL holders for both the restricted and non-restricted classes
within the last year was my first time shooting his rifles & revolvers, and I have become quite addicted now to target shooting. I must admit that i am quite angry at myself for waiting all this time to learn about the firearms that were left to me - how to clean them, care for them and shoot them. My favorite restricted is my 1917 S&W N frame revolver - definitely a .45 ACP fan now My favorite rifle is the trusty Model 88 winchester .308 coupled with optic scope - a close second is my .22 hornet BRNO ZKW465
I want to learn more about the arms i own & want to start acquiring my own "firearm gems" so to speak, Webley revolvers in particular
I am an avid car enthusiast and pride myself on having distinct "taste" so to speak (anybody with a fat wallet can own a porsche or ferrari, but that doesnt mean you have taste) I like having a car that is rare, but sought after for its attributes - I beleive i am the same with firearms, and I just dont have the knowledge on firearm history to be able to find/search out the rare sought after firearms (anyone can buy a glock, and they are awesome but i want something different and unique) - this is where the forum comes in, i hope to gain knowledge from the community and expand my limited mindset
