I'm Canadian... and I love firearms/guns.
I grew up hunting and shooting with my father, he was in the Canadian Army and I always idolized him because of it. I took a different path and life (why go in the military when you have such stunning good looks?), but the SCAMDEMIC, Biden stealing the election and subsequent media gaslighting), Cdn Government lockdown / covid tyranny etc woke me out of my slumber. It wasn't enough to simply exist as the embodiment of top tier masculinity, magnetic alpha-male personality with a chiseled bone structure that makes women faint and collapse merely by being in my presence. Something was missing in my life... Was I truly the gorgeous, shining example of testosterone induced perfection that women the world over had praised me as my entire life?
The answer was a resounding NO. Seeing the world for the way it really is brought perspective.
How can one claim to be representing the pinnacle of masculinity without a firearms collection? This weighed heavily on my soul, I was severely humbled by this revelation. And my journey to true manhood began...
Anyway, I started my collection off by asking my father to give me "my" childhood air guns (he handed down his two childhood Slavia 618's to me). Two .17s and a .22. I took them apart and rebuilt them, replaced the springs, seals, removed the rust on the barrel and re-blued etc. Sanded the stocks and refinished them entirely. Even inscribed the names of my two sons into the stock of each of the .17's. Iron sights are fun to start but I tac welded a pic rail on both so I can attach red dots or scopes. Kids are super stoked about their rebuilt, and upgraded tactical style air guns. I'm sure there is a fud somewhere absolutely disgusted with that but we can agree wo disagree.
Next I grabbed myself a Derya TM22, it looked like a fun .22lr to try out. And it has been! Build quality and accuracy are excellent.
Next I grabbed myself a Mossberg .308 MVP precision, a somewhat obscure gun that only ran production for a few years. Had some quirks that needed ironed out and and I've been slowly but surely modifying it and improving it, including swapping the barrel with a 24" Savage Heavy barrel. It's slowly becoming the PRS that I wanted.
My current project is a custom built 10/22, ordering all the parts and building my own chassis for it, The TM22 is just too heavy for my kids to use.
Next Project, a 12 gauge for duck hunting (any recommendations are appreciated) and a custom built .223 bolt action hunting rifle. I'm thinking of using a Remington 700 action for the base, any ideas or input on that is greatly appreciated.
Anyway, thank you for allowing me to introduce myself. I look forward to maxing out my inner chad by ever expanding my currently sad gun collection.
