Hi, I got a question on buying the flip-open scope covers.

Should I choose the objective lens cover matching the actual size of the objective lens? For example, 40mm scope cover for 40mm objective lens?

How about the eye lens? How to choose the right size for it? Or I don't need one to cover the eye piece?

Do a search on the Internet and they should have a chart for the various sizes and corresponding scopes. I would guess that size for size would be the tightest fit?

Ha. Thanks a lot. However, the size of eye lens is not indicated anywhere for any particular scope. I will try to find the answer.

Well I did a quick search on the web for the chart, it had the scope model listed and the lens cap(size) for the right fit. depending on the scope you could post at rimfirecentral, those boys are alot of help. Keep searching the web, I know that the chart is out there. Cheers

Got a chart for the Butler Creek covers. IT turned out to be 10 and 33 for Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x40. Thanks to mildot and Jamie.
