Hello everyone! Just looking around this site a bit, looks like a great place to learn. I've owned my rifle (444 Marlin-I have GOT to get into reloading!!!) and shotgun (12g double barrell "coachgun"-I'm sure this isn't the "correct" name but that's what we call the thing;)) for several years now but don't get the opportunity to use them much with 2 toddler boys hanging off me!
My dh and I went to the range last weekend where I tried our buddies pistols-BIG mistake:rolleyes: ...too much fun, now I'm hooked.
So mostly I'm here to soak up some knowlege, learn about reloading and maybe, just maybe have a peek at the equipment exchange.

Greetings, GLGT.

Much to the despair of your POOSSLQ... My wife innocently asked about reloading, I taught her, thinking it was about damned time she started reloading her own 358 Win, 12 gauge, and handgun rounds. Now the damned bills for reloading components are almost so high I need a second job... I never did believe that "women should be in the kitchen" stuff - but now I'm beginning to think there was an ulterior motive to that philosophy.

All fun aside, reloading can be an interesting hobby in itself, and it makes you much more familiar with their firearms and their performance. I doubt you'll save any money - the usual experience is you just shoot a lot more.

BTW, you DO know you can shoot that Marlin for a fraction of the present cost by buying .44 handgun bullets in bulk (i.e. in 1000 lots), and loading them with a few grains of Red Dot? Oh yes... same as the .35 calibers... something MY wife should have never been shown.

Lots of info here - also some info that is bad stuff, but that usually gets picked up by the group.

Well, have fun here. As for the kids, it's just gotta be twice as good when you have TWO parents interested in shooting.

welcome

We're all hooked.....We all need to stik together and feed our bad habits.....

You're right on that one...you try it, you buy the first one and next thing you know you have to build an extension on the house to fit them all.
