Hi-Point 9mm gone?

Maybe I missed something, but, what happened to the JHP 9mm from Hi-Point? I know that the general consensus is 'crap'! but something about their robocop ruggedness (ugliness) appeals to me. I know they still have the carbine, which is basically just the JHP-9 with a stock and longer barrel so is it because this hideous duckling was just soooo popular that they are never on the shelves? They make the .40 and .45 cal. versions still but no 9. Does anyone have any insight into this?

The yanks think 9mm is Eurotrash, real warriors use .45 and .40. Everyone down there knows that 9mm can be stopped by a fake boob.

I'm pretty sure it's too short for Canada. Just under the 4.2" limit.

The .40 and .45 are just a little bit longer, so they are okay.

Kodiak arms used to sell them up here. I've seen them at other places too but not for about a year now.

I think your best bet is with Prophet river but they don't seem to have the 9mm pistol in stock, only .40s&w and .45acp. They do have the 9mm carbine though...

The 9mm pistol is prohibited due to barrel length.

The .40, and .45 offerings are still available, as they always have been.

I have heard that the carbines are actually decent, while being ugly as hell. I remember a CGN'r buying one and redoing the cosmetics on it... looked pretty cool. Read that the 9mm carbine does not take pistol mags.
