Visited my friend earlier this year in the US and shot a firearm for the first time... a Shadow Systems DR920P, and 9 months later, I am an RPAL holder and owner of several firearms myself. Had 2 years of dabbling with archery (target recurve, new to compound) before this and felt like a natural progression.
Live in the city, so target-shooting is all I do right now, but I'd like to go on a hunt with someone at some point just to see what it's like.
