Hey,

I'm obviously new around here.

I have some experience with firearms but I've never owned them. I'm also not originally from Canada, I moved here from the UK.

I live in the Lower Mainland, but don't currently drive (thankyou, ICBC, very helpful you were when I arrived..) so am fairly limited for a few months anyway. Hopefully I can spend a bit of time looking around and getting to know the ins and outs of gun ownership in Canada and with any luck maybe see a few of you around on the range someday!

Hello and welcome. Unless you live in Nova Scotia, you won't see me on the range. Still, if there are things I can help with, be happy to do so. I don't know much about long guns, but I collect certain kinds of handguns. For firearms licensing, possession and acquisition, you need to become acquainted with Canada Firearms Centre (1-800-731-4000). They are the repository of legality when it comes to firearms here. There are some definite "dos" and "don'ts". All of us at this site have opinions, and some even have some good knowledge, but CFC has the last word. In any case, you'll need to get licensed and CFC will help with that. As you can probably tell from my spelling, while I was born in Canada, I grew up in the US. Enjoy the site.
