Hiawatha .22? How do I get the bolt out?

I have an old Hiawatha .22 with a tubular mag and i can not get the bolt out for the life of me. Does anybody have one like this and how do you get the bolt out. My friend has one exactly the same but his is called a Ranger.

Use the search to get info on Cooey. Thats who made your gun. Take the barreled action out of the stock. You should see a locking nut thats on the stock bolt. Loosen that off and thread the bolt out a bit. This loosens the mag tube enough to slide out the bolt. When you reassemble the space has to be right or the bolt will come out----Cowboy
