I bought a set of TSR200 Sights for my Ruger 10/22 carbine a while ago from High Calibre Service Corp in Mission, B.C.

The sights installed very easily with no problem.

Through carelessness on my part, I lost several very small steel parts of the front sight. I asked HICAL if they would order them from Tech Sights with their next order to the US firm.

Last week, I received the replacements after a delay well within a reasonable time frame.

Now, to give a hint of how I lost these small pieces, I am advising anyone installing or for that matter handling any small steel parts to use a magnet to hold the parts before they decide to escape!

It is still not too late for me to learn to do the obvious!;)

Dave was great when one of the 2 PC extractors I ordered showed up missing from its baggy. The spring and leaflet were there but no extractor. He double checked that I checked for it in the box then had one out the door to me right away. No whining, no dodging or spewing excuses. Just a friendly chat and replacement part ASAP. Hical is what customer service should be. I can only think of a few CGN sponsors that can match their service, and even fewer Canadian companies in general. Those tech-sights are a great upgrade for the 10/22.

Gravity can be cruel and humorous all at the same time.
I have a great deal of respect for turtles and I guess snakes too.
They have a pretty good eye level for finding dropped kibble and bits.

Now the biggee question........yu gonna delete this thread too?........:D

Well, Looky I am too old to play a turtle or a snake, but I was certainly down at floor level in the work shop with a very strong magnet which went through all floor sweepings and the shop vac bag.f:P:2:

Coming now to your question, I will not delete this. In deleting the other stuff, I was making a silent statement that I am also too old to waste my precious time nattering with others below the belt, and by that I mean, the OFF Topic section. I know who my friends are in CGN and they know that I know. To them that may read this, I say .

In closing this off, it will be rare for me to post in the Off Topics area.

As well, I am no longer a self styled "curmudgeon" as stated in the details that I have provided about myself.:)

Right about now I'm fast approaching the point where, if I'm down on my hands and knees looking for something, I try and think of anything else that I might need to do while I'm down there.

+1 to that.Sometimes it's seems to take forever to stand up again,So you might as well find something else to do while you are there.

Growing old is a death-defying feat...I must be heroic!

You are sir! Just don't expect anyone to pin on a medal.

It is one thing to age and become crotchety but the challenge is to grow old with Grace and mellow like fine cognac or scotch. This is the state that I am trying to achieve.

One possible technique is to never complain, never explain. I've found that the more that I try and explain, the more I get in trouble, with my family and even here on CGN...

Well, in my case, if I am under the dining room table, I try and find peskey pills or tablets that were successful in escaping from being swallowed:redface:
