high capacity mags?

Not a poplular enough firearm for manufacturers of aftermarket goodies to bother with I would suspect.......

I think there is 15rd magazines available for them. Hi-cap magazines would be great for them, they're already a cheap plinker and if you had 20+ rounds at hand they'd be even more fun.

"...can't seem to find any high capacity mags..." There aren't any. Like Hitzy says, not enough market or demand. You won't find much, if any, aftermarket stuff for a 795 Marlin either.

just in case your wondering as well the that Savage arms will not have a larger mag for the 17HMR / .22 mag I talked to the Sales Rep & he said only 5 round mags. I have a model 93 BTVSS in .22 mag

I've heard rumors before of 15 round mags existing for the 795. As a 795 owner, I'd sure like to be able to find a few of these. I did find a site that advertised them but a rep of that site said that they were currently out of stock. If I manage to find that site again, I'll post it. Maybe with enough demand, he can get them in again.

As the 'underdog' to the 10/22, you really don't see much in the line of 795s posted online. Anybody care to share a few pics and stats?

Heres's mine:

I think I've done pretty much all I can to it:

- cheapo Tasco 2-7x32 scope
- I've got a Williams peep sight on order for it
- aftermarket ATI 'Dragunov' style stock
- hammer spring shortened to lighten the trigger pull (never measured it but feels about 3 lbs or so)
- firing pin filed down to make a deeper dent to help ensure primer ignition

The only other thing I need to do soon is buy a few more mags. Two just ain't enough. It'll shoot 2" groups at 50 yards off hand. I bet I could half that if I really tried and used a bi-pod. It's just a plinker/hunter. No need for sub MOA here. :runaway:

The same mag can be used in a JW-14, which would be sweet. They do exist, but production was ceased years ago when the AWB came into effect in the US and it wasn't restarted when the ban was lifted, so that makes a large cap mag a pretty rare, desirable item.
