high end benchrest 22lr?

Yes I have 2 halls, 2 swindlehursts, 1 CZ barrel block, 1 cooper (had 3 with real Br stocks), 2 anschutz in robertson stocks, and a Falcon (the only one serial numbered to come to canada and is at the eley facility in the USA ready for testing for ammo and was built by richard borham the hot rimfire gunbuilder in the USA right now) all new and unfired (except one annie)

problem is except for the CZ most have tuners and were built by the best and you would pay a minimum of $3000 (without scope) to obtain them, plus shipping and so on.

Also have 16 cases of Lapua Master X (the designation when they were tuning or refining their machines for X-acta they brought out the master X designation as they could not sell pre-preoduction ammo in the x-acta name, it is killer ammo in most guns and I bought the last 20 cases left in Canada a couple of years ago, might list the ammo for 1000 plus shipping a case

I have been going to take pics of my guns and sell a few (cancer) but just have not got around to doing so as my video card in this computor sucks.

good luck in your search, if I get off my butt i might take a few pics and if they turn out to be viewed I could send them on to someone else to post,

I also have 5 different styles of one piece rests from the USA (including a highly polished one that there was only 2 made, one for jessica pappas and one for me), should line those up as well),

difficulty is there would probalby be a lot of interest in me taking the pictures but then asking for the money (paid 5g USA for one of 2 kelbly swindlehurst made by kelbly with a past president of the american stockmakers guild did the checkering) then everyone says the bank turned them down for a loan (the wifey that is)

maybe after the calgary gun show this weekend I could try again

good luck in your search

AFAIK there are no gunsmiths specializing in RF precision rifles in Canada. There are gunsmiths who are precise enough with their machining to build winning rifles.
The specialists in RF are south of the 49th only because of the demand , there is just not sufficient call for RF precision rifles in Canada.
As Jefferson has indicated expect to shell out as much or possibly more for a good RF rifle.

You can buy a new anschutz, feinwerkbau, bleiker or Walter target 22 in Canada. They are good but will not keep up with the dedicated Custom BR rifles used in high end 22 competitions. They will all run you over $3k.

I had an Old original 721 40X Range Master , that was changed over to a Freeland Stock and Canjar trigger, that was very competitive in 50BR, remington still makes a 40X BR 22lr with Kevlar stock, Stainless barrel in there custom shop, and I imagine could be ordered from any Remington importer or just call Prophet River to export one, easy as pie!

Jeffereson, sorry to hear about your Health, I hope all is going well, Dale Zywina in T-Bay.

If anyone wants to know anything about benchrest 22, you should talk to Jeffereson, one of the most knowledgable guys I ever talk to and bought a couple 22 target rifles from!

zywina, can you confirm remington still builds the 40x in 22lr? I called them months ago wanting to order and they told me they no longer make them.
