High end Italian shot guns????? (Lucchini)

So......... I've inherited a side by side 12 gauge 2 3/4 shotgun. It's from Italy, was my uncles. He was pretty into the Italian gun thing. As he was Italian. I was willed his guns, one however caught my attention. I can't find out much about it... And what I can find leads me to it being a very very expensive gun. It's made by armitalia di lucchini, brescia Italy and is mint not even sure if it has been fired. Its got some nice engraving on the side plates and a little on the barrel at the chamber.... Anyone familiar with this gun maker??? Cheers guys

Lucchini has made some inexpensive guns in the past, but these
days only makes best shotguns and double rifles.

They are not imported into the US, but I believe they are imported into Canada.

There is a full-page picture of an exhibition grade Lucchini 12 ga. w deep chisel achanthus engraving in the Winter '98 issue of Double Gun Journal.

The gun was made in '82. I bought it in new, unfired condition a few years ago. It has 28" SxS barrels and was choked x-Mod and X-full. The single, non-selective trigger came from the maker set at 6 lbs! I had Griffin & Howe open up the barrels to IC and Mod and bring the trigger pull down to something reasonable.

I also added a leather case with a Lucchini trade label supplied by Galzan in CT.

I don't believe a gun can be "too good" to hunt with and I have shot clays and taken the gun on walkup pheasant hunts with my trusty Labrador.

Regarding quality, when friends hold the gun their reaction is usually "I must have this gun."

Mr. Lucchini is very friendly and talked with me on the phone about making the gun, which he remembered. He said it would cost US$25-28k for him to make today.
