Who decides what "high end" is? This designation cannot be based solely on price, as we have seen with King optics, Quigley, Huskemaw etc. that high price does not = better.

Considering the EE specifically states it means over $1500, pretty sure its base solely on price. Obviously CGN is not making qualitative statements on different brands, it's simply a way to separate glass ads into smaller categories.

The dollar limit is not rigorously enforced, I saw a pair of scope rings and a Sightron that didn't meet the requirement.

And yes, the Vortex Razor product line certainly counts as high end.

I wish they had divided the optics into two different categories; Scopes/sights in one and binoculars/spotters in the other.

I just review the relevant forums every couple of days if I’m shopping. I also search them for what I’m looking for. My time here is not especially valuable or “metered”.

The issue isnt Bushnell or Vortex being considered "high end" it's market and govment forces pushing the price -> $1500.

When you own multiple safes full of rifles, not everything can sport a swarovski or nightforce. Now not.every one can have a Bushnell? Japanese elites are twice new price, and Leupold freedom become unaffordable. Suppose its Chinesium quality soon.

I meant on the market, not as defined by CGN classifieds. If I ask $1500 for my old bushnell elite 3-9 I can post it anywhere.

I was shocked the other day when I looked up Vortex's high priced Razor and saw it only had 71 Moa of elevation.
This is for long range precision?
Budget scopes come with 60 Moa.
Lately I'm not hearing anything positive about Vortex.
