Hi

Seems most scopes i find have an eye relief of 3-5". Are there other types that would work with my particular norc? Ideally it would be mounted where the red dot site is.
thanks.

Leupold, Burris and others make excellent scout scopes that have 9+ inches of eye relief.

EER & LER scopes are what you are searching for, some are fixed power others are variable, and I think illumination is available on some.

Mount the optic on your front rail as low as possible, and you should not need to add a cheek riser.

Leupold makes a "scout intermediate eye relief" 2.5x fixed power scope that would work.
I managed to find a scout scope made by AIM that is 2-7x variable with mil dot reticle for around the $200 level. I mounted the AIM scope to my Ruger scout rifle and I'm quite happy with it. I think you can get them from Grouse River, but it's been a while so don't get upset if you can't find it there...

whatever you do, dont go for the Weaver 2-7 scout/pistol scope.. the eye box is terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible.
The clearest and brightest scout optic ive used to date is actually the NcStar models, before their "pistolero" series

I exchanged a few emails with someone from Vortex optics and apparently they are looking into a scout optic in their 34mm tube with target turrets etc etc
