I have been shooting since I was a kid, reloading since about 1970. Slowly learned, often the hard way, to do a decent job of reloading. I did lots of low key target shooting, PPC, bullseye, fast draw and so on. Did a lot of handgun shooting at one time, lots of rifle.
Zooming ahead to now, things are different, and not in a good way for some of us. Store bought ammo is out, except for rimfire. These days, I cast nearly all my bullets, use brass from my own supply, primers from my own stocks. I am getting into powder coating. I am also working at converting some Berdan primed brass to Boxer or shotgun primers.
I don't say all this to show how wizardly smart I am. I post this to share how I am adapting to today's world. I can spend time mucking with this stuff as I don't work in the winter. I am 76 now and still work Spring and Fall, but basically don't in the other two seasons. I've worked for sixty years, so time to step back. Yes, I am a boomer, but I won't take any credit for spoiling it for any younger people.
