High Q 22lr, which one would you choose between these 2?

Hi, I was thinking of buying a high end rifle in 22lr before my retirement. Altho I've got some years to go before that time, I've suddenly got the itch to do it now.
I was lurking on the 'Net, forums, manufacturer's web site, etc.
Rifle I want should have looks, but of course I expect great accuracy.
I had my mind on a Match 54 Anschutz and after some thoughts, I finally decided on a 1710 D HB.
After checking prices, I was ALMOST ready to click the BUY button, then I realized for a few more dollars, I could get a Cooper M57 LVT, which are very nice semi-custom rifles, with garanteed accuracy.
Ok, enough bla-bla, hope you're still with me.

Which one ??
Anschutz 1710 D HB
Cooper M57 LVT

You could hardly go wrong with either of them.I have a 1730HB in 22hornet that puts five shots in 1/2" at 100 yards,but my Coopers are also very accurate.I would likely go with the Cooper,because I prefer to deal with Clay at Prophet River.
 
Id go Anschutz just because they use em for JOP here. PS, try a google on the cooper model 57, an interesting article on rifleshootermag on these models.

Sorry....just couldnt resist this tickler. Please excuse...For the money I could mod my Savage MK2BVSS with a nice prefit finished piece of walnut, or refinish to my choice, and still buy a couple thousand rounds of match ammo to put through a bug hole at 50 yards.....he he. High end is in the eye of the beholder and his pocketbook I guess. Oh ya...saw the prices on these babies, ad guilding to my stainless rig:)
 
You eithe like ANNIES or you detest them!! I am on the border, I like the match 54 action in a classic american stock in 22lr,22mag or my favorite 22hornet! I think though you pay more for the Annie name? but they are tack drivers, everyone from the match 64 on up! This I cannot dispute! I just ordered the ultimate hunting rig from Cooper M57 22lr, It is in the eye of the beholder of what consitutes goodlooks,feel and quality! good luck! Now if Dakota was still making a rimfire? You could also get Hall to make one on there repeater or singleshot action with one of there barrels, and have it stocked here in Canada, there are great craftsmen here! Dale Z!
 
You can't go wrong with either, but I would pick the Cooper because they generally come with nicer wood and are a little bit more elegant looking.
 
1710 D HB 150 year anniversary with Stainless Barrel makes a nice Keepsake and great shooter. Mighty fine wood on it also.
 
I have owned three Anschutz rifles. The single shot target rifle was fantastic. I just sold it when I gave up target shooting. Bought two sporting models and found them incredibly accurate for sporter type rimfires BUT both had truuble feeding from the magazines. One would just plain jam and the other would shave lead off the bullet asw it fed. I got rid of both. Never owned or wanted to own a Cooper. I now own CZ and Ruger rifles for their dependability and good (not Anschutz grade great) but very good accuracy and utter dependability in feeding. To me if you want a particular rifle to be your "go to" gun for any specific purpose it must load, lock, fire, extract and eject with utter dependability. I won't own a gun just because it costs a lot or looks pretty. I just can't tell what you want your rifle to do.
 
Own or owned almost every make of 22 commonly found in North America or Europe. Of the two you list, I would go with the Anschutz. Coopers are a great rifle, but the Anschutzs will almost always out group them, and tend to be far less picky about the ammo you feed them. I use two of them for high volume gopher shooting, with Winchester X-pert ammo. Both will shoot this into an inch at 100 yards, with the odd flyer. The two Coopers I tried were almost 2" using X-pert. They would shoot much better with Federal Champion 40 grain solids but that doesn't make a good gopher load.

Both are great guns, really depends on what you are going to be doing with them.
 
It is too bad that CZ does not have a custom shop gun other than there engraved one model CZ452/453, I think this would give alot of guys who want a little more extra done to there gun a custom gun for far less than anyother company! CZ does custom orders on the Centre fires, why not there bread and butter rimfires? I would get a CZ 452 action beautifullt polished, with a semi sporter contoured 25" BRNO #3 barrel in a sporter american walnut or Turkish walnut stock! This way it can be used for hunting as well as informal target practice! I think BRNO called this model 456 L/LK Target!cheers Dale Z! I hear you Zywina, I have quite a few CZ's rimfire, but what they'd need is a custom high precision 22lr. They have a great action, and can make great barrels, but if they would make a glass bedded, 2 screws action, 22lr with a high grade target bull barrel sitting in a nice walnut stock, it would sell big time, and I'm sure it would shoot with the best out there. Hey, their plane Jane 452's can hold their own against bigger $$ rifles, well almost.

On another note, I just found a really nice, like new MEISTERGRADE 1710 D HB for a nice price (I think). So the juggling is over! I should have this baby in about two weeks.
