Anybody has some experience with High-Standard riot guns?
Where they manufactured in the USA by High-Standard or were they contracted-out?
Is there a remote possibility of finding replacement parts and barrels today?
PP.

Here's my High Standard Brush King, 18" bbl, 6+1 capacity, Williams sights.

I had to replace the firing pin and spring, plus a couple other parts.

You can look up Numrich to see what parts are available. That's where I got my parts, and they are reasonable.

Let's see what you're working on!

Thanks!

This was my winter project gun... rebuilt most of the bolt, and actually I just fired it for the first time last Saturday up at the cabin... everything went perfect! 2 3/4" slugs cycled and fired fine. The gun shoots about 4" high at 25 yards though, so I need to work on the sights. The Williams rear sights on it are cranked as low as they will go, so I might have to adjust the front post, as this is not planned to be a long-range rig! :p

I really like it, very slick action, and I like the way the shell lifter tucks up out of the way when the action is closed. Easier loading and no pinched fingers.

Hey PP I used one for a few years when I was on a small town PD. It did have a habit of short shucking from time to time. I think it was a shell stop issue. The gun must have fired 8,000 to 10,000 rounds in it's time and was well worn. I can say the gun was well built but it was no 870. Popcan's gun shooting 4" high at 25 yards is not a bad thing. That should put it about on at 100 to 125 yards. The 4" could be allowed for at short range. In fact on a deer it would make no difference. I also realize that he intends to shoot it at short range but why not have it able to reach out too? Just the rambling thoughts of a bushwacker.

take care boys, Darryl
