Can anyone tell me about the High Standard Sharpshooter M? I am looking for a .22LR and like the looks of the Ruger MKIII Hunter but their is a High Standard for sale and I am interested. I shot a Victor and liked it, and I know this will not be in the same league, but is it close?

Thanks!

I just sold my HiStandard SharpShooter. It shot as well as my Browning Medalist....... which is REALLY good! I kept the Medalist.

Hi

I owned a ruger Mk2 stainless for over a decade. I then lucked in on a High Standard surpermatic (model 106 if I remember) the older slanted grip. I sold the Ruger because the High standard shot better.

I resently got to shoot a ruger Mk3. With the new loaded chamber indicator, and other junk added to the Mk3, My old Mk2 was so much better.

The only thing the ruger has in it's favor (IMHO) is that factory made extra mags would not be a problem to obtain.
