Hello All,

I have been paging through a 1973 copy of the Shooter's Bible, and recently found an entry about a semi-auto rifle that apparently can fit and cycle without issue, 15LR, 17L or 21S rounds. Overall length is 38.5 inches, barrel 18.25 inches long, weight 5.5 Lbs. Are these good rifles? Does anyone own one? Issues with them? Were they a success or failure?

Price = a nice delicious $54.95 in 1973.... weren't those the days?

Cheers,
Drachenblut

Here is one from around 1970. It shoots fine if kept clean and while not MOA, it is fairly accurate.

This is the carbine with brass buttplate and trigger guard and I believe original sling. However it is not $54.95 today.

About how much would someone ask for a .22 of that type and model?

And here-in is the problem. It all depends on condition, how bad the buyer wants it and how quick the seller wants to get rid of it. The one I have is in very good condition and if I were selling I think I would ask in the $150.00 range with the sling. Of course I don't know if I would get that until I tried to sell. That being said I have had a couple of people wanting to buy it but we didn't even discuss price as I am not interested in selling at the present time.

Usually not too tough to find a Win 69A for sale. I have a couple of them and they handle all of the rimfire types. Thing of it is, why would you want to shoot longs or shorts? Perhaps you have a big stash of them. 69A is a very accurate rifle. FS

The Rem 552 speedmaster could hold that same amount of ammo as well. Lots of fun shooting at running rabbits as a kid with one. Got to handle a High Standard at as show but passed it up. Nice handling.
