High Standard Trophy Help

if you cycle the slide by hand, will it re ####? If so, you may simply need to try a different ammo. If not, you probably have a trigger problem, and you'll need a good smith. The other possibility is that the spring could be worn out and it's slamming, and the hammer doesn't have time to engage the full #### notch. Wolfe gun springs can supply a new spring set, and will ship to your door. It's a good idea to replace them all anyways if you don't know the history of the pistol

FYI It shouldn't be fed high velocity ammo. The stock springs are for standard velocity rounds, and a steady diet of high velocity fodder will batter the slide.

Is it trying to load 2 rounds at the same time, if so mag problem.
Are you sure iyt is not cocking, can you pull the trigger?
their is a small spring on the trigger bar.
I jsut had one that the trigger bar was rusted in the trigger pivet and would not reliese the hammer.
I have springs for these.

there SHOULD be a half #### notch to prevent this, and a disconector in the trigger mechanism...but anything is possible, especially if some one tried to to a trigger job...

Marshall above me had a good idea too...check er out!

So, are you having problems with the hammer not cocking? ...the firing pin? ...or are several issues being lumped into one thread?

I took the slide apart the firing pin has a gouge near the top of the pin, I think I will get the spring kit and a new pin for it. I noticed that Wolfe Springs are temporaly not shipping to Canada and other place I could try, Western Gun Parts maybe?

Wolff's ‘temporary’ hold on international shipping has been going on nearly three months now. Ask me how I know.

If you're just looking for one kit, Western may have it in Canada, or Brownell's, or check a few other places, or try a WTB ad. in the EE. If you want to outfit a few pistols, revolvers, bolt rifles, and shotguns, that will amount to several $100-limit orders, you just have to wait.

I was lucky, got a spring kit for my Trophy from Wolf more than a year ago. Only problem was I could never figure out how to take the slide apart and I lost that tiny spring on the right side that operates the slide catch.
