Ive seen some pictures online of a Remington 870 with what looked to be a 6 or 7 round lower tube that was one piece, not an extension. Is this a part you can buy? If so, where do you get one? Is it a part that only comes from the factory? Any info would be great. Im having issues finding an extension that fits right and will stay tight on my 870...

That is for a specific gun. Don't know what they are calling it, but I do know that the barrels are NOT interchangeable with a regular 870 since the barrel ring is much further forward

I believe Remington recently started manufacturing their new 870 Police models with a one piece tube for the 6+1 capacity. Maybe they are doing it for the other models as well, I'm not sure though.

Edit: As far as I can tell on their website, only one of the Tactical models is being advertised with the one-piece extended tube.

And from what I hear, you can not get this model with ghost-ring sights and threaded barrel. Too bad, because the extension is one of the main things keeping me from buying an 870 tactical. :(

My 870 tactical magpul edition come with the 6+1 tube, ghost-ring sight and threaded barrell, oui messieur! :)

lol Yeah, but I'm not willing to pay near double the price because it comes with a dvd I already pirated off the internet, a magpul stock and a fancy finish. It's still just an express. All I want it for is to bounce around in the back of my truck.

Before you skip the 870 all 870 mag extensions are NOT created equal.

Some are very poor quality and design. Even the oem remington ext isn't the greatest.

A good quality ext tube and or using a barrel clamp (a wise idea with any 870 ext) makes the problem mute and affords you a really wide choice in barrels and all the other goodness an 870 provides.

Terez,

do you know of a good quality mag extension?
