Hi guys,
Who has the highest rounds count on his Norc??
How many so far??
How many malfuctions during those rounds fired???

My buddy that does groups at the range puts ~25,000 rounds a year through his. He's been doing that for about 3 years.
Iirc he has replaced just about everything on it minus the bolt carrier (he's gone through several bolts), lower, upper, and barrel.

The bullets shoot sideways at 10y and it ejects at 12:30-1:00......but it's still going.....

Hope your buddy gets his ammo for free! 25000 a year of .223 is way past my budget!

It's 'new-shooter' groups so they're the ones paying for the ammo.

25,000 is an estimate, he doesn't even bother trying to keep track. We know that the gun eats at least 500 rounds a week, and it's been used for at least 3 years. In the winter it's less rounds and in the summer it's more.

And in case anyone is wondering, the gun looks like you might expect it to lol

So he gets to shoot ammo paid for by other shooters? Good gig if you can get it!
And by the math, 25000 is low! Nice to see a Norc last this long and this well!

Yeah people buy him ammo and watch him shoot it in front of them... No, they buy ammo and shoot it. Thereby becoming a shooter themselves. That's the point of new shooter groups, to introduce people to the community.

lol as Kevi explained, other people pay for the ammo and shoot it through his gun.

25,000/year is a conservative estimate. Could be a couple thousand either way, but that's still a lot of rounds.

We must be meaner here in BC. We expect people to have their own guns!
We'll let people try our guns but not 500rds a weeks worth!
You must get a lot new shooters in Ontario to go thru that round count. Would be nice to harness that political clout!
Thanks guys!
Now back to Norc round counts!

Are you guys still getting any sort of accuracy out of that thing, or minute of barn door???? I've seen good quality AR barrels like Stag and CMMG get replaced at 40-50k as throat erosion hits and groups will open right up. I don't see why Norinco ARs would be significantly worse than most ARs. They usually aren't pretty, but they always run.

At 10 yards it can hit paper.......sideways. Any further than that and all bets are off. There is probably very little rifling left, if any lol.

I'm not sure of exact round count as I bought it used but I have 14 000 +\- rounds through one of mine. It has had the extractor replaced once and the firing pin broke a couple of days ago. We laughed because this gun just doesn't get treated nicely yet this was the only big problems.

I never shot a group with it or put a scope on it but with a elbow on table rest and a red dot you can hit the 6" gong at 100m with it.

It gets cleaned every case of anmo or so. (1000 rounds)

That's a good round count! Hope I get that out of mine, lol, it would be cool to have a Norc/DA thread where people could share pics and info about their Norcs
