Highest rounds fired from Norinco CQA

I'm not sure of exact round count as I bought it used but I have 14 000 +\- rounds through one of mine. It has had the extractor replaced once and the firing pin broke a couple of days ago. We laughed because this gun just doesn't get treated nicely yet this was the only big problems.

I never shot a group with it or put a scope on it but with a elbow on table rest and a red dot you can hit the 6" gong at 100m with it.

It gets cleaned every case of anmo or so. (1000 rounds)
14000 rounds is great count too

Waay back - in 2011 - I replaced the barrel on my Norky at ~12,000 rounds. Starting around the 11,000 mark, it was showing signs of excessive wear via larger than normal group sizes.

A brief history,
2010 - Bought my 14.5" Norky.
2011 - @ 12,000 Rounds - Installed a new Norky Barrel. Replaced extractor/ spring/ misc small parts while I was at it. Spent a grand total of $200 on it - a princely sum at the time given the rifle new only cost me $700.
2013 - @15,000 Rounds - Installed a new (also a Norinco) BCG as a preventative measure.
2016 - @21,000 Rounds - Gave it away as a "parts" rifle. I understand the new owner still shoots it occasionally.

It ran like a champ throughout. In fact - the internals did not exhibit any excessive wear and it functioned exceptionally well. I did not, however, abuse it or shoot excessively hot reloads though it. I did however, keep it clean, lubed, inspected it regularly and used Magpul & KCI Steel magazines (throw away the ones that come with it).

Regret giving it away now! Good times and tons of lolz were had with it.

So, it's Mini-14 accuracy is what you are saying?

Hey man, I don't think that's a really fair comparison.

A Nork with 75,000+ rounds through it is waaaay more accurate that a mini 14 ;)

btw to the OP; I got pics of my buddies gun, I'll post them in the next couple of days when I re-figure out image hosting

Great.Thanks a lot Sir.
BTW,you can use photobucket for that purpose

Redivivus, where did you get the spare Norc barrel? Was it through the distributor or was it a used takeoff? Great price if it was a new replacement part. I'd certainly be happy with one for that price.

Leg:

Bought it New from Marstar. If you are looking - do give Marstar a call. Sometimes they have stock that is not listed on the website. When I had inquired, they had mentioned that they would be able to get one in one of the shipments but that it would take a while. So I ordered and waited.
