Hi all,
I've just purchased a S&W 28-2 from one of our fine gun nuts and am waiting for the transfer to complete. I believe it's an N-frame and I'm wondering where I might find a speedloader for it. Do I need to find one specifically for this model?

Yes, you have to buy one for a N frame S&W. I've used HKS and Safariland (which I prefer)...but if you want la crème de la crème (at least for the look of it) you might want to look at 5 star firearms.
OK

I had a look at 5 stars website and those are nice looking loaders. I don't see one specifically for the 28-2. Do you know which one will work okcorral1881?

In the modern era there are 4 frame sizes from Smith. K,L,N, and X. X is the 460 and 500. K is the small frame model 10 and 15's in 38/357. L is identical for speedloaders. You've got an N which is more common for the 44 mag.

Just be sure when you get an N speedloader that it's for your 357 and you're good. HKS usually has the model and cal stamped on the knob, safariland less often.

MTLGUN resumed it pretty much, any brand you order just make sure it's for a N frame. If you decide to go with the 5 star, they have a contact e-mail on their main page for international orders, to calculate shipping costs. Just ask them at the same time the model number that you need for your gun. If you do not go with them; HKS you have to turn the knob to release the ammo and Safariland you just have to push wich is much faster (IMO), but again it depends on what kind of shooting you intend to do.
OK

If you are looking for HKS mfg speedloaders [the twist knob type] you will want one marked for the Model 27 [which is the N frame S&W wheelgun in .357 Mag].

Same frame size, cylinder dimensions, etc as the Model 28.

I can tell you from personal experience that these will work fine in the Model 28.

HKS would be model 27-A and would fit the model 28 as well.

ive ordered twice from 5 star, fantastic stuff, ill never buy plastic ebay stuff again.
they are custom made aluminum and fit perfectly.
and i even picked up the range block holder, sweet little add on.
just give them a call, they are a pleasure to deal with over the phone.
and as a added bonus they have that funny texan accent!
