I know what you mean about the copper coating, its not 'copper washed' though, I think that term refers to the casings (a different process to put the copper on the steel)/

it is my understanding that "bi-metal", copper washed, copper coating are all pretty much the same: a thin film of copper, micrometers thick over a mild steel jacket surrounding the lead core.

By my reckoning, that makes the Hirtenberger stuff on par with the Norinco stuff, which is cheaper.
