1:30 AM here, im wide awake... out of Cigerettes and sick of Tea............. Alarm is set for 7:30 an my sister is coming out to have a walk around the bush wth Me and most likely the "little fallow shooter" from the Thread i made other day..

i slo mo tht clip up a bit an here it is again... in Slow Mo- i feel quite confident i will find it! or We, will fin it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1BniiUY0h0

il be sure to post up when back around lunch time hopefully, an will post a full video shortly...i guess we need to close the book first!!

Shot is a bit high, a bit further back than optimal but looks like a kill shot to me. Probably blew the top/rear part of his lungs off.

ok Gatey, thanks mate,.... i have some confidence in what you see an what you relay.

at first glance, i thought oh fkkkk... WAY BACK.
i slowed it riiight up , an i feel better about it :)

I was hoping it might Catch the Rear of one lung! an be quatering away enough to poke a hole in the 2nd.... first eldx kill on deer sized game. 300 is better than 100 in my opinion with it....
i am shooting from down low so its 'high', i agree.... not spine high though as we see!

il do autopsy i rekon. time is on the side.

That's what i see as well. I think its down for sure. The eld-x is a soft bullet and known to rapidly expand or frag which in my opinion in this scenario could be to your advantage.

High lung hits can be tough. They don’t bleed externally as much. And an animal can go quite a ways. Good luck! I hope you get him!!

Welllllll......

will fill ya in , in a story i rekon.

In the slow motion the bullet impact can easily be seen, he's down, somewhere, just have to root through bush until found.
I'm a tiny bit surprised with a hit that close to the spine that it didn't hobble him up more right then and there.

edited to add: LOL, I posted my little comment then thread reopens and low and behold, a big stag body to hump chunk by chunk out of the bush :)
