hey guys n gals, signed up a few days ago, been reading daily lol. great stuff here.

i am a complete greenhorn to firearms, having never handled any before. my family just wasn't into it, not against it at all, just not into it, lol. my wife had some experience as a kid in the country, many many years ago.

we did own an archery range awhile back and loved target shooting before and during our ownership. so we appreciate and respect the discipline of target and sport shooting.

we have a plan to move to a more remote area than where we are now, so hunting is going to come into play. as for now, we want to get into some target shooting in the winnipeg area.

so, tonight we both passed our CFSC and tomorrow we are going to challenge the CRFSC, and or take the course and pass that as well.

then its time for ........................THE WAIT. V:I: lol

i tell ya'll, i know i'm a lucky dude having a wife that loves to have fun too. pricey buyin 2 of everything, but VERY fun walking into a sports store or auto parts store or heck even a hardware store to look at tools. she needs a bib just as bad as i do, lol.

thanks all.

nope, wasnt you mudchucker, albeit you live closer to us, convenience??? dictated we went to rob by dugald. very good dude excellent course work.

mbarcher, hmmm an archer ehhh. i have been looking at the MDPL stuff online, seems pretty slick. dunno how well it'd suit a guy with a fair sized frontal protrusion. :) and we are likely gonna be joining the firing line.

we both passed our CRFSC's tonight. so we wait now, lol. but in the meantime we'll get into a club so we are ready to go for the restricted portion.

anyone know much about the firing line in winnipeg, is it a good place an such? i know we aren't available any saturdays for the cleanup as we work EVERY FREAKIN WEEKEND. lol so we'd need to cough up the extra 50 bones for that. no biggie, but would rather see the efforts go to the club than to work, lol.

thanks again for the welcomes!!

Don't worry bout the frontal protrusion ... I'm no skinny minny myself , actually think I'm one of the heavier set guys in MDPL!...
The guys and gals in MDPL are great people to shoot with and if you were to try it , I'm sure you and the mrs. would like it.
Finally someone that got the meaning of my nick also! :)

Welcome from Winnipeg

Hey, I"m in the peg area too and will be hitting the Winnipeg Trap and Skeet range this Sunday (weather permitting) or Selkirk.
