HK 91 clones

I recently read an article that stated the HK 91 and its various clones are some of the better utility rifles, with the best prices on spare mags. Sometimes as low as $1 if you order online in bulk.

Question, is the HK 91 (and clones) prohibited in Canada?

i don't know which is more insulting; to have the gun prohibited and NEVER being able to own one( ie you don't miss what you never had) or having one SITTING IN THE SAFE and NOT BEING "ALLOWED" TO USE IT-I STILL SAY it's a back door approach to CONFISCATION- YOU CAN'T USE IT, SO YOU DON'T NEED IT, WE'LL JUST TAKE IT as you can't prove you need it

Blue all the XCR-M metal and put some wood furinature on and you'll have a HK 91ish looking rifle.

I for one am glad they are prohib , much more insidious than a Rem 742 or M14

I hardly shoot my M14 because of the cost of .308 ammo. It's probably for the best that I was never allowed to buy a G3 or FAL, otherwise they'd be collecting dust also.

that's a PERFECT excuse to get into reloading- and if i can do it on a seniors retirement fixed income, you should CERTAINLY be able to- just cut your "beer budget" or make all your trips count or something like that- i use a biycycle more than a car, and i walk a LOT- there's way's, you know- and i shoot 4 of them

I've shot almost all 7.62 millitary semis and the G3 is one of the finest.
Up to very recently, it was a favorite of many top NATO special force units when serious firepower was needed and is still used by the guards protecting the Pentagon.

The only real downside to this rifle (like the FN FAL) is that 7.62 NATO kicks like a mule and is difficult to control.
